St Peter's is a small Christ-centered progressive church that is rich in tradition... We strive to live by the message of Jesus Christ, in which there are no outcasts and all are welcome.

Walking a middle way* between Roman Catholicism and Protestant traditions, we are a sacramental and worship-oriented church that promotes thoughtful debate about what God is calling us to do and be, as followers of Christ.

*The "middle way:" not as a compromise, but as a quality of thinking.

PSALM 122

I was glad when they said to me,* "Let us go the the house of the Lord."

Now our feet are standing * within your gates, O' Jerusalem.

Jerusalem is built as a city* that is at unity with itself.

To which the tribes  go up, the tribes of the Lord...

Peace be within your walls, * and  and quietness within your towers...

Because of the house of Lord our God, * I will seek to do you good.

This Psalm was sung by by the Israelites as they made their three annual pilgrimages to Jerusalem. On their arrival they would engage in Temple Worship with anticipation and joy.

There they would meet their families, tribes, and friends. They would have old memories rekindled, hope renewed, and a place in salvation affirmed.

Pilgrims of today are invited to engage the journey in St. Peter's Episcopal Church. You will find it to be: Large enough to serve you, small enough to personally feed you, large enough to grow you and small enough to delight you. -Father J Kaestner
